HICKORY CHAIR CO. JAMES RIVER SERIES SOFA, SHERATON STYLE, MAHOGANY,

This is a beautiful piece from the late 20th century designed by Thomas Sheraton and is part of the James river series for the Hickory Chair Co. Everything is original and unaltered bearing minor damage from wear. It has a heavy down single cushion with working clasps to attach to couch. The mahogany frame does bear some fading in some spots but is in almost perfect condition otherwise. The upholstery has a few minor tears and some water stains in some water spots. You can have those removed with a steamer however taking into account the age of the fabric and since there is some tearing present I would recommend reaching out to a professional cleaning service. The frame is solid with carved scroll arms supported by open reeded columns above burl inlay joints and raised on tapered and reeded legs. There is a leg missing in the front but does not compromise the piece and is still structurally reliable and sound.
